Early detection for cancer project is considered one of the most powerful cancer prevention
programs in the world, as millions of people have recognized the importance of early detection
and its effectiveness in saving thousands of lives, according to recent studies and researches.
Therefore, Al Amal Association has launched the first early detection center in Syria - Idlib and
its countryside, where there are more than three million people but there are no specialized and
qualitative medical centers and no centers or hospitals for cancer patients. Al Amal Association
has surveyed different areas in Syria suffered from same problem and begun to seek for support
that will enable it to open more centers in the areas in need.
Project Objectives
1. Primary and secondary protection of cancer.
2. Early detection of breast, uterus, prostate and colon.
3. Improve the quality of health services at their three levels provided for cancer patients.

4. Activate the role of health education of cancer of its various types and raise the awareness
among the members of society.
5. Contribute to establish a national and global database showing the prevalence of cancer
inside Syria and Turkey.
6. Conduct and strengthen the means of research and studies of cancer.
